The daily activity planner for pawn shops
Customers. Pawns. And the work between.
Pawns and purchases move through inspection, repair, refurbishing, merchandising and sale. Keep customer service in view while the team handles each next step.
Start with the work you know
Cover the counter.
Make room for the rest.
Opening routines and cleaning repeat. New pawns, in-house or outside repairs, refurbishing, merchandising and customer pickups fill the week around them.
Build the plan around your customers’ hours. Repeating duties help new staff learn the rhythm of the shop by working it. Managers can see who is working, who has time, and what each person is scheduled to do.
Open the weekly plan to see daily opening and closing work, customer coverage, item work, and shop upkeep assigned across a pawn shop team.

Customer service stays covered while the team works through new items, repairs, listings, pickups, deposits, cleaning and closeout.
Work on every item
The right person for the work.
A pawnbroker may know one kind of equipment well and need a colleague for another. The store manager decides who should handle each item, based on the person’s experience. Shops can also schedule time to coordinate outside repair work.
Put that person and the time on the task. The plan shows what is assigned, what else is on their day and where open time remains.

Set recurring repair time for the mechanic. Leave room for customer jewelry work. Give the apprentice time to refurbish and merchandise items while experienced staff handle the work that needs their knowledge.
When customers change the day
A short interruption.
Or a task that has to wait.
Staff can finish the task when a brief customer need passes. If the work cannot get done in the time planned, they can record that it was partly completed or missed and add a note.

A user with the right permission can review the outcome and schedule time for more work. Each shop sets its own priorities and procedures.
